During the autumn, winter and spring months the New Hardy Players perform works from a a wealth of Dorset Voices such as Thomas Hardy, William Barnes, Hugh Simpson, Douglas Northover and new original work written by the groups own talented Dorset writers. Music, song and dance add to the fun.

2010 - Planning for the new season of Dorset Voices and other events will take place over the next few weeks. The new season promises to be exciting with some new ideas to promote Dorset literary and performing talent, both old and new.

Past events - 2010

Monday 15th March, Dorset Voices at West Lulworth Village Hall. The NHPs entertained the W.I. Group Meeting. A great evening was had by all. Hardy won these ladies hearts with his humour and romance.

A special fund raising event  to save unique Hardy manuscripts - "Hardy Chapter and Verse" took place on Friday 12th March 7:30pm, Dorset County Museum. £2,500 was raised bringing the fund within reach of the £58,000 needed.

Sun 15 Nov - St Michael's Church, Pensel Wood,Somerset - 7.00pm  In aid of CRY      Good news! £700 raised for CRY!!!!  Visit www.c-r-y.org.uk

Sat 05 Dec - Sydling Village Hall - 7.30 pm, £7 with wine, £2.50 Children                   The first outing of "The Awkward Squad" delighted an audience that braved the inclement weather!

Sat 12 Dec - St Mary's Church, Netherbury - 3.00pm                                             Norrie Woodhall performed The Owl and The Ruined Maid to a full church.

Sat 19 Dec - Dorset County Museum, Dorchester - 7.30pm  £10 including refreshments Norrie Woodhall performed at this most successful special Christmas event.
